Soldier Boy is a 2019 Russian-language film. It is based on the real-life story of youngest soldier of World War II, Sergei Aleshkov. The film is based on true story of a six-year-old boy who became a Russian war hero during World War II. The film shows the struggle of war and the horrific scene the boy of such a age witnessed during the war time. Seryozha, Sergei Aleshkov lost his family, was rescued by an army regiment (142nd Guards Rifle Regiment of the 47th Guards Rifle Division).

 

There he is adopted by the commander and becomes the youngest son of a regiment in WWII. In addition to being beloved by the soldiers of the unit, he distinguishes himself by numerous heroic acts, for which he earns the Award of Military Merit on April 26, 1943. The film is based on real events. This is a story about exciting events that occurred in the life of the smallest soldier - the hero of the Great Patriotic War, six-year-old Sergei Aleshkov.

He lost all his relatives and got into the army. With a six-year-old boy, they started playing the soldier game in order to preserve his childhood, and he, in order to comply with this honorary title, became a real defender of the Motherland. War strikes out, and noone is spared and I guess this is why the russian government goes in sponsoring movies like this, to make people not forget the great motherland war e.g 2nd world war and peoples duties if so happens again.

Its soldatik and patriotic to the fingertips and does tell a story that supposedly shall have occured, but as a filmographic 8th wonder of the world it aint but it presents a new supernova on the russian silverscreen.

A kid actor that do not have camera anxiety at all, and acts like a welltrained robotnik, i wonder where they find this talent, and im sure the main adult actors have had a good laugh at the end of many takes, because that little hedgehogtan a boy may tip the enemies wheelbarrow at a blink of an eye as a history lesson it’s not a good film, it has some nice old relics of army equipment, and a heck of an explotion here and there, and a little bit of love, so if you wanna get charmed by the russian rascal number one then do like the grumpy old ma, and swipe through it as soon as possible. after all its paid by the government.
